Kahanoff Centre Expansion Project
Calgary, Canada
The Kahanoff Centre is situated in the heart of the Calgary’s Beltline and is adjacent to several organizations that serve the less fortunate. It is unprecedented in offering space to not-for-profits and gathering them under a common address. The facility’s popularity forced the need for its expansion. The project proposed a new commercial tower that would replicate the program of the original centre. A soaring atrium and internal bridges connected the two buildings. The residential towers were to flank an oval courtyard accessible to tenants and the public. The full project was not realized yet a new commercial building with a dance centre joined the site recently.
