Great Northern Lodge

Deep in the wilderness, near Trout Lake BC, a snow cat ski lodge has been thriving for the better part of half a century. The original lodge burned to the ground in the 1970s and a new lodge was never built. The owner instead hobbled a series of work camp trailers together under a single roof and a unique and beloved place was born. This lodge has served skiers from all over the world for decades since. A new owner introduced a full renovation and safety & code upgrades. The lodge restoration was so successful that the initial seasons have now been sold out and inspired the design of two new buildings on the site. The Cat Day building houses the ski guides for their work and accommodation. A Cabin was also added for the client and patrons. The gathering of the three buildings now makes a snow cat ski village and preserves the tradition of the special place it has been since it’s inception.
