Toronto, Canada

LBPIA, in Toronto, acts a poetic allegory to the power of flight, and its form responds to the notion of the laminar flow of air as it speeds across an airfoil. The soaring volume of the central processor houses prerequisite programs that fulfill the need for the efficient, secure and safe transit of passengers and goods. The radial airside piers extend out from the central hub, and can accommodate a full flotilla of short-haul and long-range passenger aircraft, including the A380. LBPIA now ferries 35M passengers to and from national and global destinations.

Completed by Christopher Brett as Technical Architect while employed at Skidmore Owings & Merrill.
