Adrenalin Source for Sports is a thriving independent sports store that focuses largely on outfitting elite hockey players and teams locally. The large retail outlet is located on MacLeod Trail in the community of Haysboro south of downtown Calgary. A new Second Floor Mezzanine was required to serve the growing branding side of the business. The branding services include providing teams, at all levels of hockey, with jerseys and apparel adorned with their team logos or insignia. The new mezzanine will support a meeting/work area and the large presses and printers. A Bauer Zone mini rink area was also introduced that allows slapshot testing and technological analysis to create a custom stick based upon the body motion.

Her desire included creating a place that spoke of modernity while at the same time offering all the comforts of a local coffee or wine bar. The resulting project is a fresh and simple space that embodies a warehouse vibe with splashes of modern ff&e and colour. The overall plan is broken into three zones: a public café/bar and waiting area, a semi-public old style barber chair service zone and a private back-of-house product/laundry and changing room zone. A search for the right home for this project led the owner to every corner of the city.
While it remains unbuilt at this time, dreams never die but just live on until they can be fulfilled.
